Can anyone tell me where I can find a pair of snap ring pliers for this tiny @$$ ring. Bought a universal pair and that didn't work at all.

Maybe you can modify a cheap set of needle nose pliers. I've done if to make fin pliers, for straightening the fins on radiators, and things of the like. But instead of making them flatter, you'd be making them round. Maybe a small set of forceps?

Maybe, just get some manual hubs?
$20 set of pliers is more feasable right now than manual hubs, even though they are in my future.

Seriously thinking about this.

Alright, I modified a set of needle nose pliers, got the ring off and this is what I found in the drivers side hub.....

I'm guessing this isn't supposed to look like this since the passenger side one didn't. Does anybody have a part # for this?

Never mind. Went to the junk yard a little while ago, got the part for $5 put it in and presto my 4X4 working again.

Thanks doonze, now I just need some more aggresive tires. I tried climbing a slight hill yesterday and she just spun out.

when you get some extra cash set aside you should think about some manual hubs. you can buy a pair of used ones from member kbabiak for about 50 bucks and then get the adapter nuts for 16.....alot cheaper than buying brand new ones. those auto hubs wont stand up to much off roading.

50 bucks that's it?! I've been wanting some for a while but haven't had the cash for new ones, I'll have to look him up when I get my next paycheck
