4X4 control module

I have a 2001 explorer sport and the electronic module that energizes the 4X4low and high ranges keeps crapping out on it. The dealer replaced it less then 90 days ago so its still under warranty at least as far as the part goes. Any one experienced this in the past and have an idea what triggers this failure?

on my 02 ranger, it looked like water was getting inside mine some how. i used RTV on the seams and around the connections...... no problems since
