4X4 light stays on

I dont remember when it came on, but was wondering why. 4X4 buttons are not engaged, manual hubs are "free", so it is kind of weird. Any info appreciated!

Might be a stuck relay if you have disengaged the 4wd. I had this problem with my old Blazer, which had a manual t-case. I didn't get it fixed because it would have cost more than I wanted to spend.

There have been a few other similar posts on here regarding 4x4 lights coming on for no reason, but don't seem to generate too much interest. My 4 low light comes on whenever it feels like it (amber light only, never the dashboard indicator). Sometimes it is dim, sometimes it is bright, sometimes it doesn't do it for weeks. The 4 wheel drive (both high and low work fine always).
