it would work with ANY 1354 manual. doesnt matter the year or trim. all 1354M cases are the same. It is a bolt in swap.

So just to get it straight we can run a manual 4x4 transfer case & shifter, without the standard transmission & shifter.

yes that would work fine, take the manual t-case off another x, same year and body style , install it in place of your electric one, remove your floor pan cover, install the other one and install shifter.... done did......easy fix 4-6 hrs depending how fast you work and what tools you have.

Or, you could junk that Ford transfer case and put in a NP-231 out of a Jeep. All you need to do is replace the transmission with a GM 700R4, get the adaptor plates from Advanced Adapters, make a cross member to hold the adapter in place, then figure out how to make a linkage that fits.......Oh Heck, just do what Nasty says.:cool:
