Ok sometimes when im driving down a road or going over a median on a standard road the truck shakes side to side ALOT. Mainly from the front tires.

Now this only happens 50% of the time. When I take my truck off road she won't shake up.

I have read on other posts that it happens only when the tires are moving at the same speed. If that is so how come it happens only 50% of the time on road. Could it be something else. Perhaps my tires that are worn out? or maybe even a more severe problem. I've already looked up other posts but haven't found the answer I am seeking. Thanks

i hope you are not using your 4x4 on the road.... that is why its making funky vibrations.... 4x4 on dry pavement it like oil and antifreeze, one their own ok, but mixed together will be hazardous

Ok how about snow on road though.... I hope I can use it then. Cause that was about 80% of the purpose of getting a SUV for me.

When there is snow on the road and traction is greatly reduced, it is okay to use 4wd.

Thought it was weird cause in my parents 97 expedition you can engage all 4x4 options on road without any wierd bumps.

the 91-94 have a very harsh system.... the new ones are a lot softer on the feel

the only thing i hate about the 4x4 is the electric shift is stupid, i wish it had a lever on the floor, and the auto hubs are stupid too, i'm gonna replace them with warns soon i hope.
