My 4x4 not working after I installed 31x10.5's. Has anyone else had this happen? I have checked the switch and I am getting power to it and from it. I am getting power to the plastic switch/hub located in the back above my rear drivers tire. I cannot tell if I am getting power past that or not. I priced this piece at Ford and they want $500 for the stupid thing. I have a 92 4door XLT.

Any idea's would really help.
Thanks,
Chris

The shift motor may just be stuck. Have someone try to put it in 4x4, and get underneath it with a rubber mallet and smack the back of the transfer case shift motor a few times and see if it will engage.

Yeah, do that, it worked for me....it definitely is independent of your new tires.
