ok, new to this site, and hoping to find some good info!!! so, here goes sumthin.
what i have is a 1997 ford explerer eddie bauer with awd, a 5.0, currently i swaped heads and intake out for a bbk ssi intake and aluminum head set-up. i am wanting to know if it is possible to replace the 5.0 completely and install a 5.8 engine. is this possible with the all wheel drive? what all would go into this and is any cutting/welding required.
i am a welder, the cut/weld issue would really be no problem, but i would like to keep away from that aspect, if anything is bolton, that would be perfect and i will start ordering parts!!!
any help or guidance will be well appreciated, thank you all so much, hope i get good feedback
