I dont remember the older type 302/5.0's having torqe/yield headbolts but who knows what ford has revised on these newer engines.

My 98 5.0 mountie puked antifreeze everywhere finally last night after a long slow leak and just in case its the front portion of the head gasket on the driver side head that let go, I'm wondering about the head bolts ahead of time...

Yes, they are torque to yield bolts. You might as well replace both head gasgets while you are at it. I bought a ford racing kit from summit that had head gaskets, bolts, and valve cover gaskets http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=FMS-M-6051-A50&FROM=MG it is part number FMS-M-6051-A50 and costs $104.88. You will also need a set of intake gaskets http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=FEL-MS95952&FROM=MG part number FEL-MS95952 and they cost $29.99.

If you got a gasket at your local parts store, they may have the bolts, but your chance in finding them may be better at the dealer.

I'd go ahead and upgrade to ARP head studs..
