Well, the engine is a bolt in after you adapt it to fit.
I found the L&L Product adapters to be really well built and easy to use.
After adapting the transmission to the transfer case everything bolted together.
I didn't have a problem with height, positioning or any type of alignment.
The harness was the more difficult part but with the Ford Booklet, about 5.0 Wire Harness install, it went forward with only one hitch, the fuel pump didn't come on. A call to Ford and that was that, bing/bam thank you Ford it was running.
If you have enough experience with engines and there electrical systems and can read schematics and able to take your time the process will go over without a hitch.
Working part time it took me and a buddy about a week to convert my Ranger/5.0.
One thing, the heater box in the engine compartment will need to be modified. If you use a body lift it will require less or no modifications. I found it easier to take the outside part of the heater box out of the vehicle and modify it on the bench. Work with the suggestions from the adapter manufacturer but test fit it a couple of times just to make sure.
Good Luck,
