95 Ford Ranger 2wd
I have a 95 ranger 2wd and picked up a 98 5.0 out of an explorer came with all wiring ecm ect. Want to bolt a 5spd up to it and keep it 2wd and make it a street truck what would be the best trans set up and rear end set up. And if there's anything I
should worry about. Any helps appreciated thanks in advance.

For the rear I’d stick with an 8.8. You likely won’t make too much power for it.

Hopefully you got the PATS module, and equipment, or were planning on a custom tune right out of the gate.
 






Tune was planned for it first thing after it gets up and running!
 






It won’t run without deleting the PATS via a tune, OR adding in all the PATS equipment.
 






You'll need a tune to delete the transmission functions anyway so it will be easy for them to turn off pats.

Unfortunately there's not a whole lot of transmission options. The m5od out of a 4.2 f150 is the only one that would put the shifter in the right place. A T5 from a mustang would put the shifter between the seats.
