5.0L Motor Oil capacity

Can someone please tell me how many quarts I need when doing an oil change with filter on my 99 mountaineer (5.0L v8). I just got the car and don't have an owners manual. I can't find this information anywhere.

5 Quarts. I always get an extra to keep on hand though.

In all of my vehciles, I've always gotten an extra quart to pour through the crankcase after draining the old oil and before putting the drain plug back on. Usually gets rid of some of the nasty black oil remains before filling it up with new/clean oil.
