the Dub series is made by audiobahn... that's why the company came up.

And you can run really any sub amp combo that you want!
--As long as the resistance of the sub(s) is within the amps limit.

yeah i know i was just puttin in my $.02

i no how to set stuff up i just don't really no that much about different types of amps...It's pretty much like putting new speakers cut wire rewire the speakers and then make connection...sorta if u get what i mean lol

I've had about every size sub available and the frequency response and accuracy always depended on the specific model and installation... rather than the size.

Given the amount of money that he is willing to pay for his complete set up, the quality of the sub is going to be a big issue. I agree with everything you said except that "always" part...
Two subs recieving the same amount of power that are the same brand and series but one is a 15" and one is a 12", you will find that in most cases the 12 will be more accurate and hit faster than the 15.
The fifteen is going to need more power to move the larger surface area of the cone, moving from a 12 to a 15 may not sound like much but it is, there is a huge difference in cone surface area. So if we are trying to get him the best bang for his buck. I think that a 12 would be better matched to an amp that is within his price range. This is just my opinion, and comes from years of experience installing car audio professionally. Everyone has an opinion.

What it all comes down to is what he wants for $500, if you want loud and don't care about SQ, then get two low priced name brand 15" in a bandpass and throw the biggest mono block amp you can afford on it and wahlah you have loud. But if you are going for SQ and SPL, it is then that you have to be careful with your choices.

I Disagree. A 15" will be loud but, 15's are not very accurate, unless you put a crapload of power it them. given the amount of $ he has, it will not be enough for a decent amp to power a 15". Besides take 12 + 12 what does that = 24 right! So the surface area of 2-12" is larger and louder then that of 1-15". Plus, 12's are more accurate given they handle less power! So, go with 12's man, you'll be happier. And you still will have the money for a nice mono block amp to push the hell out of then.

As well I'm talking from experience in both selling of the product as well as installing of it.But, your right everyone does have there own opinion.
