I'll sell you my 2 kicker comp VR-12's, sub box and amp for 430 bucks. I just have it sitting here and its all less than a year old. It hit hard when i used it.

Rockford subs (2) $137.77

Purecaraudio.com
Rockford Fosgate 501bd $280

wiring
SWX AK4 4 guage $40

and that leaves you $60 more for a box you can either buy at a local car audio place or make yourself.

Thats going to make a pretty good bump in your car, plus the quality is going to be average...although i'm an all alpine man myself, rockford does make a decent product

Forget The 12''s

You Want Rap Bass Go The Musical Insrument Speakers Route With 15" Speaker Such As Peavey Black Widows (@$120)or Jbl Pr0 Series
(@$150) There Isn't An Normal Audio Speakers Out There That Come Close (jensen Alpine Sony Kenwood,)etc.

the saying that 12"s wont do low music or rap music as good as other sizes is a myth.....

hrmm.... 500-170 = 430?

what's wrong with them? There audiobahn and the RMS on them are pretty sick...

I've been selling audiobahn for over a year now, and I wouldn't buy anything audiobahn, the quality just isn't there.

15' subs usually get pretty sloppy with multiple fast bass hits, where a twelve will hit the same low frequencies in your music and hit more accurately and quicker. Most music doesn't have bass anywhere below 40 hertz anyways.

o really...I've always heard audiobahn is one of the best...my sources suck i guess :(

the high end 'bahn stuff like immortals are fine IMO
Those DUB series dont look too bad for entry level.... :)

dont forget about my suggestion, 3 12" subs and the 1000 watt rms amp I have for sale!

I sold car audio for four years, I would go with two kicker comps w/ a alpine MRP-350M

I've had about every size sub available and the frequency response and accuracy always depended on the specific model and installation... rather than the size.

That is true! The install has alot to do with it. Actually it's the box. Make sure you have the correct cubic space for the woofers! I run this set up right now and I have a box that is 1.5 cubic feet per sub. Also you can never have enough power!!!!

Oh, and don't go to EBAY! keep it local. you will have better luck and customer service! The Kicker subs should go for $90per sub and the amp is $200 that will leave you with enough for wiring and a box, Minus tax of course!!! Good Luck

Correct me if I'm wrong...mono amps can only hook up to one sub?? Therefore I'd need to of those alpines to power each sub?

No, You can hook up both subs to that amp! It is called bridging the subs. That amp is bridgable down to 2ohm I believe, so you would need two 4ohm subs. Then, you will bridge the subs parallel to the amp. How you do that is to take one positive from one speaker and hook it to the other speakers positive, as well as negitive to negitive. Then you will hook positive to the positive side of the amp and negeitive to the negitive side! If it is 4ohm mono you will need two 8ohm subs, then do the same thing. I suggest having someone at the dealer for you. If they want the sale they will do it for free!!!
