been searching and found a few threads about manual shift but no answers so can you shift a 5R55e using 12 volts straight to the solidnoids like the jeep guys do with their aw4 thank you bob

Not really, as some have to be applied and others released, timing is important to prevent slippage or trans lock up. All of this is handled by the computer.
