I have seen too much contradicting info so I thought I would ask here. I have a 2001 Sport Trac with a 4.0 that the transmission went out in. It's build date is 11/01 and has a trans code of "D". I have a 1998 Explorer with the 4.0 and a trans code of "D". Are they the same 5r55e or are they different?
