Hi folks,
I'm starting to experience some slipping in my 5r55e (03 ranger 4x4) and have decided that a valve body rebuild and servo replacement are most likely in order. I have several questions regarding the rebuild. While I have subscribed to Glacier's and Billy's threads in preparation for this day, I am wondering if anyone has used Central Valve Body or any other Ebay Business to purchase a rebuilt valve body, instead of going through the rebuild process. While everything appears straight forward, it would run me along the lines of $400+ dollars out here in Hawaii, to purchase all the components and/or have them shipped. It appears that purchasing a whole unit, rebuilt, would be more cost effective. So can anyone tell me about their experiences if they have used either Central or any of the other E-bay companies, or could recommend a company to purchase a rebuilt valve body from. Thanks.
