4r44e & 5r55e valve bodies.

May be a stupid question (feels like it) but are they the same? I notice a bunch of the same parts listed for both, and even rebuild kits. If not what all parts will interchange, just valve body related and or solenoids. Thanks.

The shift solenoids are the same but the TCC & EPC solenoids are different. The 5R55E uses inductive signature with a red band EPC. The 4R55E has a green band EPC.
