5R55S issues.

I am going to try and make this on the shorter side, please also know that I have searched and searched before becoming a member and posting this. I have a 2004 E.B. Exp 4.6 liter with a 5 speed auto trans (5R55S). I got the infamous blinking OD light/ "CHECK TRANSMISSION" in the message center and code P0775 which is the solenoid code and the real issue of the 2-3 gear flare and 5th will rev and shift normally or rev back up and hang out around 3k rpms on the highway. The truck has 172,x.. miles on it and is really a great truck, before I purchased and parts I figured drop the pan and inspect everything got new fluid and a new filter. Once we removed the pan the fluid was obviously dark, however, there was nothing alarming that we found in the fluid. So we removed the filter, solenoid pack, valve body and the 4 wheel high/ reverse servo and everything seemed fine, no cracks in the valve body gasket or anything.... We then reinstalled everything with the proper torque, everything was sealed added fluid the correct way then the real issues started. The truck was up on stands and the auto 4 wheel drive kicked in, that seemed normal because the back wheels where spinning due to being off the ground, then I noticed reverse was not actually reversing when in reverse the wheels would still move forward.... So we put the truck on the ground, and now you can put the truck into every gear, but it will not go anywhere! So with everything that we did, I don't see why at the very least the truck would have had the previous issues.... Now it won't move, what did I miss? One last question, we did not disconnect the battery through this and the solenoid pack was unplugged removed and plugged back in, would that cause an issue?
