Just rebuilt the tranny and new front pump and new tc. The problem I am having is when you put in R you have a kick but the truck will not move and if you give alittle gas it trys to move and also same thing on Drive. Can it be the TC is no good? or the front pump?

i would say clutch, (and just in case make sure there is enough trans fluid in there)

You probably don't have everything dropped in properly. When you remove the pump you disturb the clutch pack positions and drums. Then when you tighten the pump it locks up all the internal trans parts.

well when i say rebuild i ment i just put in a new od drum and everything for the od but all the parts from the od was inside the tranny so i had to remove all the stuff inside to clean out the case. so i really did not rebuild the tranny. i had this problem befor cuz i had to put a new pump in and it did the same thing and the next morning it worked fine. if i lift the truck up on all 4 the truck will move and shift fine. this is the tc i bought that advance said it will fit my tranny http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/we...ing_5990114-P_673_R|GRPTRANAMS_1804689205____ is that right???

i have an 02 explorer when i start it you can hear the transmission whinning it well move for about 5 min then is wont move any more shut it off for about 15 min and it move again any ideas

did you check your fluid??? ya so i looked up the tc i bought from advance and it was the wrong tc it was for i think its a a4ld or something like that and i have the 5r55w tranny. so i did a search on google and it says the same problem i am having so i order a new tc from autozone and it is coming tomorrow at 3 so i will let you guys know what happend.

theres no way to check it unless i drop the pan there is no dip stick on that transmission
