I am wondering what type of power/torque the 5RR5E can handle, not sure if model year makes a difference but i have a 2003 Sport Trac XLT. Also, will all the other components, rear/front diff, torque converter or any other component that may be effected be able to handle the added stress.
Specifically a 4.6L V8 found in the mustang gt, producing 300hp and 320lb-ft torque.
Then of course, is it even possible for the tranny to bolt onto this engine at all? If not what would be the best replacement to use with the 4.6L V8, with 5 gears.
