Is there anyway to do this with out having to swap the knuckles out? I have an early 80s wagoneer that is 6 lug and want to make it 5 on 5.5. The knuckle uses the six bolt pattern instead of the for 5 bolt pattern the fords use. I would like to keep the knuckles that are on the axle as the tierod mounts are fairly high for not being a true crossover setup. I would redrill the rotors but a few of the studs end up being too close together and would be concerned about strength of the studs. Or can you buy rotors with no boltpattern drilled in them then drill your own?

get adapters... i think they make them from 6 to 5... youll have to check at your local rim shop

i dont recomend them if your going to put your tires through some abuse i.e. off roading

If the knuckles are 6 bolt, then you use chevy spindles and brake calipers (80's 1500 suburban or truck) and then ford rotors (80's F150). That is the way mine is setup.
Not sure what years they are exactly, but If I use 85 for both ford and chevy stuff I get the right chevy bearings and ford bearing seal. Thats as far as I've gotten into it so far.
