Hehehehe Ford has a product they run through the intake same as sea foam, it is a Motocraft chemical and it takes 10 minutes to do so that justifies the $200 or whatever. Give me a break!
Go to car Quest. Get a can of Sea Foam for $5
Let engine idle and warm up
Have somebody sit in the drivers seat
Pull vacuum line off throttle body
Slowly pour entire bottle of sea foam into intake, dont let the engine die, have your helper keep on the gas so it doesnt die.
run it for 10 minutes and watch the white smoke pour out. Decarbonization complete.
Takes ten minutes and cost $5. I just did this to a friends Maxima with GREAT results.
Also a friend of mine used this on his 318 Jeep Cherokee that had a CEL for about a year, couldnt get rid of, replaced 02 sensors, EGR, etc etc....2 bottles of sea foam later, CEL gone never came back.
Gonna do my 4.0L this weekend. I also found at Car Quest this new miracle power steering addative lubricant, gonna try that too. The guy guaranteed my noisy pump would be quiet, I was like dude, it;s a Ford pump its never gonna be quiet, he said yes it will m try and see. Sold me $5 bottle, we shall see!!
