How long can I expect good use out of these 80 watt fog bulbs on a 2nd gen. Hopefully they wont burn up my wire harness but I don't see that happening. I think if it does any harm it will melt the plug the harness goes into. Any know how long these might last?

If it was my truck I'd be expecting a :fire:

heh, i wouldnt take it all that far.....maybe some plastic melting but i wouldnt say anything would catch fire

If the plastic is hot enough to melt, then it's hot enough to catch fire. Why chance it?

1. I hate having white headlights and yellow fogs

2. I can't find a H1 fog light bulb that is stock wattage and the same or higher color temperature as my silverstars

You could always rewire the fogs so that a higher wattage bulb could be used more safely. Just a thought.

mo-guy

you have glass lens'.
the problem is the bull-crap size wire that ford uses.

www.powerbulbs.com has philips vision plus 50% h1 bulbs. 55 watt.

they are the closest in color to the silverstars that i know of.

powerbulbs has free shipping.
