83 Diesel Ranger

Hey i have been checking out this 83 diesel ranger.The guy tells me he had a diesel shop put in a 1.8l izusu and 4 speed. it is 2wd.But that aint really that hard to switch over.Im kinda stumped on which t-case i would go with.Also i have never fixed a diesel truck, in 2002 i broke down the dump truck motor's and switch cylinder wall's and new rings, but that is it.And i had someone that even told me which parts to use,kind of like a monkey wrench. So that is stoping me from buying it. here is the details and pic's.

1983 Ford Ranger diesel (1.8 Isuzu)with 4 speed manual(Isuzu) transmission.
Gets 40mpg highway and would run well with wvo,or biodiesel
Runs and drives nice but needs tlc.
Topper in pic is no longer available. No rust, Well maintain new paint in 2006 and garage kept.

I'd buy it -- forget converting it to 4wd, keep it as it is and keep that nice MPG nice and high.

the deal kind of fell thru if anyone else wants the information he is the add that was posted.he only wants 1200 and is about 40 miniets away from gainsville.
