RangerX
RangerX -- I just purchased this '94 Ranger a couple of weeks ago:

I haven't driven it much but around the neighborhood because I don't have my tags but am getting them today. Something I noticed the other day was the bed of the truck has about an inch and half gap between the bed and cab on the driver's side, and about an inch gap between the bed and cab on the passenger's side. Actually it may be larger a gap difference then that because it's kind of difficult to measure because the cab and bed are rounded at the edges, but I measured both sides particularly in the same place above the pin stripe and up and down the gaps. The gaps on either side are at least uniform up-and-down for their respected sides. I also know from pictures that Rangers around my year do have somewhat large gaps between the bed and cab, but on the driver's side of my truck I can clearly see the frame through that large gap and it looks almost as if the bed and cab are just not made for each other - ie; ugly looking, or noticeably separate, unlike the original appearance of a smaller gap. I'm going to have all my fluids changed in the next couple of days and crawled under the truck to see if replacing the fuel filter would be something I could easily do myself without tearing the truck to pieces and committing suicide, I also looked under the bed to see how many bolts hold the bed down or see if the wholes for the bolts were oval in shape so the bed could be easily adjusted and it looked a bit too difficult for me to do, or get to the proper nuts and bolts. So my question is: Is it possible for a body shop to easily (cheap financially) adjust the bed a split the difference in the two gaps so to make the large gap look more uniform with the original way the truck is suppose to look? Or, is there no way to adjust because the frame is bent and what I've got I'm just stuck with? (lol)
Also, I found this particular thread doing a Google on this subject so I'm not sure which board I'm at on this forum so I will keep it in my browser and refresh later because this forum is huge and I'll never find this thread again. I'm wondering if this board is a board where I may ask other questions like with my truck having 150,000 miles, should I continue to use 10w30 oil as the previous owner used, or with this many miles I would be better off using 5w30? Where I live the temperature allows me to use either according to the owner's manual.
I also have a question about running some of that "SeaFoam" through the gas, oil, and transmission, before I have all the fluids and filters changed, but I'm VERY leery of these hocus-pocus products especially advertised on the internet.
Thank you.
