89 Ranger Buildup

I recently acquired a 89 Ranger XLT and have serious thoughts about giving it a engine replacement with a 302 and C4 transmission after that a 4" drive train and 2" body lift. At this time I'm just gathering ideas on the best route to take.

you'll wanna ditch the TTB for a solid axle

or atleast upgrade to a true D35 TTB.

I believe 89 was one of the yrs the Ranger had a frankenstein front axle that had parts from D28 and D35 mixed in... but I could be wrong on that (too long since I've looked into that stuff)
