Hi everyone!
I joined the forum because i'm about to get into my truck's transission despite my mechniacl inexpertise.
I beleive that my problem is a seal ( one around a shaft?!?) that was damaged when the flywheel broke. The truck has been spilling fluid ever since and I can't afford to pay much to get it fixed! Does anybody have informations about what I am getting into?

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed, and moved your thread to the transmission section. What is your engine size? Some engines such as the 4.0L have a crankshaft to flexplate spacer that could cause the front seal to leak if it's cracked. The 3.0L doesn't have this spacer.

The engine is a 2.9L and I am not sure if the tranny is a A4LD or else (E4OD).
I need to get hold of some diagrams or detailed description of my transmission.

The mechanic who replaced the broken flywheel suposedly replaced the front seal, and I got my truck back with a "steady leak"...
