I found the hardest part was getting the exhaust off. I couldn't get the bolts from the manifold to the pipes to come off (and I'm in Southern Az).
I cheated.. I took the manifold loose from the engine and then Cut the pipe just after the cat. As I took the motor out the exahust move around enough and finally just fell off the engine.
In my case the problem was caused by the trans adapter, but if you have rust there you might also have issues getting those bolts loose. Otherwise it is pretty straight forward..
Oh yea.. Leaving the a/c connected when removing the engine is possible, but a pain in the rear. Luckily I have the a/c line that runs under the TB instead of around the back like the factory one did so it was wasn't as bad for me.
Another random thought.. Pull the Radiator and the fan/clutch assembly off. It will make life easier
