I have a '93 sport, which has no chrome on it.

I really would like a billet grille but I know the chrome would be bad.

Does anyone make black ones? If not, how hard is chrome to paint? Thanks

4wheelin
was it difficult to install??
how long did it take?
any tips???
what does the "drilling required" mean when you order it off explorerexpress.com...was it just minor drilling???
help me out man..
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

a lot of sanding....

the paint wont stick to the chrome surface for very long.

The grille was really easy to install, it fits exactly in place of the factory one. It took me about a half hour total to put in and the drilling is in the hood latch relase. They give you an extension that you have drill a hole for in the existing one because you can't reach the factory latch with the new grille. Hope that helps, let me know if you need anymore help.

Here is the pics of my billet on my 93':

i thought billet is aluminum not chrome... if it is aluminum it just needs some sanding and then paint should stick fine....

It was really easy to put on. It took me about a half hour because I was analyzing everything. But now I could install it in about 10 minutes!

The only drilling involved is where you drill a hole in your factory lever that opens your hood. You drill a hole in that and attach an extension lever. It's really easy if you have a good drill.

No tips to give since it was so easy.
