I just bought new 31x10.5 tires and 15x8.5 rims for my '91 4x4. The backs of the front tires rub a little at full turn, and my explorer looks like it could use a lift. I am wondering what kind of suspension lift to get to stop the rubbing and improve ride quality. Looking to spend under a thousand dollars, and probably get the smallest lift that will work. Any suggestions?

Well I myself would recomend the James Duff lift. http://www.jamesduff.com Check out the Bronco II/Ranger section and then you should be able to find the Explorer lift. I think it runs in the $500 neighborhood. This is a good lift for what you would like to do. Its 2.5" and has lots of good extras you can get for it.

Rancho also offers a 2.5" lift that is of good quality.
