I've been looking for a brush guard to fit my 91 explorer, and so far i've had no luck. I was wondering if brush guards designed for other cars would be able to fit, and if so, what kind would it be?

I found one in the junkyard years ago on a BII that needed only slight modification to work. It's what I've still got on there, at least till I get around to building some new bumpers! One for the BII or a pre-93 ranger should work, I would think.

If you can't find a Bronco II or pre-93 Ranger guard, then you can expand your search to include J**p Cherokee's (classic bodystyle, pre-01) or even Wranglers. At worst they wouldn't fit at all, and at best you might have to fabricate some brackets to mount the guard.

I feel for ya, I am glad I bought my guard when i did. I had no idea that they would stop making brush guards for our 1st gens, but they sure have, at least to the best of my knowledge. You might try LMCTruck (they have an online catalog) and see what they have.

Yeah they gone.... Fab or make something fit. You can try some sets of universal ones that are just the main 2 bars. You'd have to drill mounting holes in the bumper & they are only bumper mount so not very strong.

I put a 98 Explorer brush guard on my 94 way back in the day. It looked alright but i think i had to modify the brackets.
