'91 Rear hatch locks?!?!?!?

I recently noticed that the locks on my rear hatch don't work for neither the door itself or the glass. This is bad news, as it will allow someone to easily grab my sub. The thing is that the closing and opening is fine on both, but locking doesn't. Any ideas?

mine used to do that but it was completely random sometimes it locked sometimes it didnt. when i replaced the rear wiper motor i soaked the lock mechanism with wd-40 and i havent had a problem since

i've noticed on mine that if the rear knob is turned just a little bit it doesn't lock,

putz around with it and see if i needs to be in a certain spot to lock it

I trtied lubing it, yet nothing worked. I guess Ill pull it apart
