HELP
I just bought a 92 explorer with 92,000 miles - car runs great in 2wd - when placed in 4wd going at 10 miles per hour - a loud CLUNK can be heard and felt every 20 feet - seems to be coming from the left front wheel - The car is now apart and I need it back on the road ASAP - What am I looking for and how can it be fixed ???
Thank You

I have had alot of expierence with those first gen auto hubs and u-joints.I have had four first gen explorers and have had to change them all out except for my current rig:D

I would agree that the auto hubs are bad. I had a '92 that had the same problem.

Consider installing manual locking hubs. The orginal ones are expensive and still are prone to break.

Guys
Thank you for your time. I will be ordering new hubs.

i had that problem with my explorer and its a 92. when i changed my auto hubs to manuals it all went away. i used the mile marker manual hubs and they work awesome. there also pretty inexpensive. like 75 apiece
