92 Explorer Starting Problems

Truck won't start with key.

everything works when key is in on position. when key further turned to start position - Nothing. If I leave key in start position, remove red/lt blue wire from starter solenoid tererminal and jumper from positive battery post to this same solenoid terminal - WALA truck starts.

What do I check next?

check the wires to the starter

your starter relay has bit the farm. Its located on the passenger side of the engine comparment.



Replace it and problem solved.
