My 1992 Ford Explorer's Wiring harness is a pain I have the after market harness connected into the factory I was going to add a new radio in again it's a JVC-KD-S31 it's a step down from the Alpine I had but not bad. My question/Problem is that all the wires are connected right but the headunit only allows ejection and puttin a cd in but no power to the headunit unless Ejecting or putting a CD in as I said. But if I put a peace of wires going from the Yellow Wire(Constant) to the Red Wire (Power to the Headunit) it works fine but stays on obviously. What could the problem be? :fire:

Probably a bad connection for the switched power wire. Try redoing it.

i would check the wires closely. I have had instances where the red and yellow were backwards where i had to splice red with yellow or whatever colors they were depending on what kind of stereo it was. Otherwise TTG probably hit it on the nose.

you probably blew a fuse...check your fuse box and make sure you do not touch your ground wire*black* tape it up if you dont disconnect the battery!
