Ok, detailed as possible here we go!

I have a http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-home.pl?mdl=CDXGT54UIW&LOC=3

Spec sheet with wiring here http://www.docs.sony.com/release/CDXGT54UIW_install_EN_FR_ES.pdf

This is the CORRECT chart (or the most correct) I have found on the net.
**scroll down to the bottom to 95 ex and up*

I installed it first without using any harness except the one in the sony deck box. After trial and error it works. Then a friend who helped put it together had a bright idea of putting the ex wiring back together and using a store bought harness. We tried 2 types including the METRA one to no avail..

So we ended up taking the kits off, wiring it back to the truck directly. I have sounds out of all speakers, working sub, working amp (both aftermarket). The only issue I am having is the deck is not keeping memory.

I currently have the yellow and red from deck to yellow/black of truck. Its the only way I get power. I was told to take the yellow from deck to green/violet of truck and that should work. When I do that I get no power.

I have a few extra non hooked wires from the ex but no left over from the deck harness. Left overs I can recall are tan(or light brown) Blue/pink, green/violet, and gray.

Fixed! After relooking at everything I notice there was a "10" in where the radio fuse was. It says in a chart its supposed to be 15, I put a 15 in and we're in business!
