The door handle on our 92 navajo just flaps in the breeze - I thought we needed a new handle, but nope. It seems the "part" that attaches to the base of the rod (?) the handle is attached to is broken. I have NO CLUE what these parts are called & I can't see a darn thing inside of that door except the straight rod that is hanging down from the handle swinging freely. The other rod - more of a curved one - seems to be secure. I found a little clip at the bottom of the door - looks like a nylon piece w/screw threads inside. It looks like it broke away from whatever it was attached to. I'm assuming I need that particular part?? Does anyone know what this thing is called, or have a diagram that shows what that thing is attached to? I can't find any info anywhere else & reaching in from the passenger side to open the door is getting really old. (BTW the door opens from the inside, just not from the outside). Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!

I feel your pain.... I have to open my drivers door from the rear drivers side door... then race to shut the rear door to catch the drivers door before it slams shut. Same problem!
