my 92 X has a wandering temp guage. after about 2 miles of driving the temp guage rises to the high side of normal then back down to mid to low on normal...its even running high at highway speeds then goes down to low normal and will stay there. ive just replaced all coolent, stat, and temp. sensors in hopes of solving the problem. does anyone have any thought or ideas

..The fan clutch may be on it's way out..:dunno:

You could have air in the system or the temp sensor could be bad.

replace the t stat, its cheap, might fix your issue and most likely needs to be done anyways.

Your thermostat is probably sticking. That's usually the case when it sweeps up and down like that. Just go ahead and replace it, they're cheap. Check your fan clutch too.

Look for leaks too.

As the temp goes up the pressure keeps it from boiling. If you loose pressure the coolant can boil easily causing steam/air pockets.

The common spots to find the leak are the heater control bypass valve (if you have one) and the radiator cap.

Of course, check your hose clamps too..
