Ok first off id like to say hello to everyone...well cuz im new here...now on to my problem.
The tranny on my explorer is actin up, it has a 5 second delay when going into reverse and when put into drive it doesnt want to engage, if i rev the engine once or twice it will engage, also when im sitting still sometimes it will engage then disengage, then engage again. Once it engages into gear it usually runs fine until i slow to a stop then it has a problem re-engaging into first gear. I should mention that sometimes it slips in second gear only for a second then seems to catch and that this problem is very intermittent, one time ill drive it and it will do this everytime i slow to a stop another time ill drive it and it will drive like a dream, any input would be appreciated thanks in advance. Ive been reading around and it looks like i should mention i got about 125k on it and ive already changed the filter and fluid and ran a bottle of lucas through it.

There is a good liklihood you have a leaky low/reverse servo seal. That is a DIY replacement. New D rings are recommended to replace the stock O rings. You will need to get those from TransmissionPartsusa.com... you will also need new VB gaskets, a new servo cap gasket and a 1/4 inch torque wrench.
