Does anyone have any advice for me. I've got a 92 XLT 4wd 4dr and I would like to put some new rims on it. Now my problem is, here in lovely Massachusetts, people like to abide by manufacturer recommendations. I have had tire/ wheel places tell me that they don't have anything for my truck, I know this is bull but what should I do? What is the largest wheel/tire combo I can run without rubbing? I was thinking a 17 or 18 inch rim with a 30X9.50 tire... I saw a set on a 98 X and I liked them alot. But I think they would look better on my truck. Thanks for any help in advance.

going with a bigger wheel is more expensive -- the tires will be a lot more expensive. I would recommend 15x8s. A good company is American Racing. But you can find some of their wheels also replicated by Eagle Alloys. I believe you'll be able to fit 31s with no/minor rubbing. You will probably want to stick with the standard 3.75" backspacing. Good luck
