Hey guys, I'm looking for some help/input on new Wheels. I have a Red 2003 Ford Explorer XLT. I have been looking around but can't find anything I like. Here is what my truck looks like (this is NOT my exact truck, just one that looks like it - http://www.edmunds.com/pictures/VEHICLE/2002/Ford/100002012/2002.ford.explorer.22217-300x189.jpg) The thing is I'm looking for nice rims/tires that fit my truck WITHOUT a lift and also would possibly like some Red in the wheels as well. I'm don't know much about wheels so any additional information would be appreciated, thanks.

Also can someone tell me in detail the max size Rim + Tire I can put on without rubbing?

I would like to have 20" but I don't think 20" would fit without a lift. I thought I read somewhere that 17" were the biggest without a lift. Like I said before, I don't know anything about tires/rims.

fatezer0 i have 20's on my ex with no lift, i believe u could do 22's but i think thats just too big....but to his, is his own

255/50/20 should fit no problem -- assuming your wheels have correct back-spacing, offset, etc. Those are optional on the 4th gens, and std on Adrenalins. I've seen much larger 20s on 4th gens and STs w/o lifts.

Thats nice looking ANHEDONIC. How much you wind up paying total for the rims/tires?

Thank you.

I want to say about $1600? I can't remember the exact prices but it was something like:

$239.99 x 4 wheels = $960
$161.99 x 4 tires = $650

Purchased them on Tirerack.com and the tires came mounted/balanced on the wheels... Shipping was only like $80...

I used my tax return to justify the expenditure.

Here's another wheel suggestion... I was looking at these before I purchased the Zinik's... They are pretty affordable too:

I believe Boss are "MADE IN USA" -- which is also a "+". Most others are made in China.
