My stop lamps (all 3) dont work, RH turn signals out.
Flashers, LH signals, parking lamps all work.
Replaced bulbs and stop lamp switch.
The RH signal will light solid in the back when switched on.

Any help appreciated

when you turn the rh signal on does your arrow inside the cab stay solid too? if so it's probably your flasher that's what my 94 did when i first got it. i had to manually flip the lever up and down. changed the flasher and it worked just fine you should have two flashers

yes it does. Do you mean the multifunction switch in the steering column or the number 4 fuse? My flashers work, did your flashers work too? Thanks a lot for the help. I have an appt with mechanic later today.

no, he's talking about a can like thing, about an inch in diameter and an inch deep.

On a 91, its: (above where a clutch pedal would be,between the parking brake release and the hood release) look for a handle that says, "pull out for fuse panel". () You have to hold up on the handle while pulling down on the fuse panel which is to the left of the handle under the dash. To get the fuse panel back up hold the handle up.

But you say your flashers work.

stop lights go through the turn signal switch, aka, the multifunction switch (could be bad) tail lights don't, neither do back up lights.
A bad ground at the back end will make wierd things happen to the lights. pull the light housing itself out and unscrew grounds, rescrew ground, will tell you if that particlular connect is a bad ground

Thanks, I had my mechanic look at it today and he was stumped. He said he got power intermittantly in the back (was looking for a bad ground). Had power to the stop lamp switch.
Are you talking about the flasher RELAY behind the fuse box? I haven't figured out how to get to it without unscrewing the whole box? And yes, my flashers work and so does LH signals, Only the stop lamps wont light and RH signal only lights the back light solid.

thanks

Ok guys, feeling REALLY stupid. The flasher relay just pulls out of the fuse box, BUT in my defense, the owners manual says it's behind the box. Ok, that solves the turn signal problem so now i'm off to hunt for multifunction switches!!!

thanks again for all your help, will let you know if that solves the stop lamp problem which up to now has me grounded!
