93 electrical trouble, i think

Hi everyone, I have a 93 explorer limited with 183000 miles, and i started having trouble recently with the electrical. It will start fine when its cold, run for as long as you want, but when I shut the motor off, it wont restart. It will crank over fine, but wont fire. I checked the breakers and fuses, but they were all fine. After a few hours sitting, it will fire off like a new car though. Is there a thermal protection switch somewhere thats getting week or something?

i know the engine coolant temp sensor gives issues with starting. it could be bad.
