i have a 93 explorer that will sit and idle just fine until you put it into gear or stop at a light, then you have to keep your foot on the gas to keep it running otherwise it'll kill it'll even kill when coasting down hill. do you guys have any idea what the problem is???

Hello and welcome to the site. Your problem could be one of many things. I would start with cleaning the MAF and IAC. Maybe replace the fuel filter. Do a search on this site many others have had similar problems.

still not right

i cleaned the iac and maf haven't changed the fuel filter yet it seems to stall after it warms up a little not right away then it's hard to start almost like it's flooded a little bit. anymore info. you guys could give would be very helpful when i do a search almost everything says to clean the 2 sensors i've already done.

My '92 did something similar. The first thing I did was to pull codes from the computer. Passed KOEO and CM, but not the KOER test. I put fuel pressure gauge on it and reran the KOER test. I noticed almost immediately that the fuel pressure was out of wack. It would go from too high (50+psi) to too low (25psi). My best advice at this point would be to do the same thing I did: perform the self-tests and check the fuel pressure.

thanks i'll try checking fuel pressure if you think of anything else please let me know
