- 93 RANGER
Hi, my name is Roger, I am new to this web site, found it while serching for fix to my starting problem.
I have a 1993 Ford ranger 2X pickup with 4 cyl. motor and 5 speed trans. The truck is origional with approx 140,000 mi and runs good when it starts.
The problem is:
Sometimes engine wont start after driven. Engine turns over but will not start. If I leave sit for couple of days, It starts. There is no consistency to the problem. The truck has a safety switch, controlled by the clutch, that will not allow the engine to turn over unless clutch peddle is fully depressed. The engine has never failed to turn over and when it does start it fires quickly and runs fine.
This is an intermitten ongoning problem. I have replaced the fule pump in the tank, but the problem continues
Does anyone have any info reguarding this problem, It seams to be electrical.
Thanks, Roger
