Seems a common Ranger issue,,, wipers work only work on high, and when turned off they do not cycle through and rest correctly. This 93 Splash does all that,,,, replaced steering column multi-switch,,,, have new motor assembly,,,, did not install it, but connected it ,,,,it works the same as one in truck,,, high only,,,,, No relays in electric dist. box next to battery,,, no relay on steering column,, or nearby,,,,,,,,,,, ???? where is a relay or control module for a 93 Splash ??????

If it's in the same location as the Explorer,
The relay box for the wipers is crammed nicely up in about the center of the dash. It could be a little grey or black box. There is a little circuit board in it, with a relay soldered on it, and one or more of the solder joints will crack and you'll have to re-solder the joints. Then it will work as good as new!

I have done this a couple times, once for me and once for a friend.

Sorry my answer is fairly vague, but the job is really easy, and I think you'll get it! The hardest part is taking the relay box out, (It's really crammed in there!)

well, thanks for the reply,,, it seems the wiper module on this 93 Splash, was above the brake/gas pedal, there are two modules there,,, my mechanic friend wiggled the wires on the connector on one module and wipers worked fine,,,, he said he sorta' pushed the wire into the connector,,, so,, module is fine,,, connector was mis-behaivng,,, his fix could last hours or years,,,,, will have to see,,,,,,,,,,,
