i want to lift, upgrade to 33's and re-gear the rear at the same time. i'm working out what i'm gonna have to look for at the next swap meet. last time i was out there i found a guy that had four tables worth of gears for the ford 8"... didn't know what to get then... a damn shame too. so to the point of it all, what's the stock rear end ratio for a 94 eddie b. 4wd?

look on the diff tag or door sticker for gear ratios and you can decode them from info on this site.i think the first part of the second line on the rear diff tag is the ratio.

My 93 4WD and most of those in that range were 3.73:1 gears. Multiply 33"/29" times 3.73, and that should be close to what you'd need to match gearing of OEM 4WD Explorers. Good luck,
