Hey there, I was wondering if other year 2dr explorer doors would fit a 1994 explorer, obviously 91-94 will work but there aren't too many of those around here in Quebec so, any help is appreciated. THANKS!!

A 1st gen Sport door skin is a very difficult part to find. It is no longer manufactured as a collision replacement part.

You will need 91-94's 2-door. A deer ran into my passenger side door last year, and the 2nd gen Sport doors didn't fit right. I had to find a door from a 1st gen truck--and it was tough to find! The wreck it came from, was totally ruined on the drivers side, but, fortunately, the passenger side door was intact.

It might take some time to find it so be patient. Knowing someone in the body shop business helps--they can call lots of places to find some obscure part.

For a while we were considering trying to just beat out the existing (bent up) door, if we couldn't find a replacement. That wouldn't have been perfect, but if you can't find the part, you have to do what you can with the old.

Try junkyarddog.com. Just fill out the info, and see what responses you get.

The outside door skin or the whole door?

Thanks a lot guys! I apreciate the help. So 1st gen sport door skins are no longer manufactured?

Door shells are available from www.fordparts.com not cheap though. $693.52 for the right side and $598.50 for the left.

When that deer hit my pass side, the body shop said that the Sport door was no longer available as a collision replacement part. The shop had to get the door itself from a junkyard.

The DOOR SKIN, however, was still made, and was ordered out new.

All I know is what the shop did for me.
