94 Explorer feels like the engine cuts out

If I read your post right, yours ran good over 65 mph, but bad under? That could be a test, as mine with a bad DPFE ran bad, and became terrible at 65 mph and not have enough power to accelerate more.

I'm calling mine good now. It has run great all week, no codes, everything has been perfect. What I learned: A bad DPFE does in fact reduce gas mileage-I got somewhere from 6-10 I'm guessing. A bad DPFE does affect how an engine runs, and idles. Most importantly, a bad DPFE, even though its electrical, can be intermittently problematic.

FordProbeGirl, did you ever figure out your problem?

P.S. is there a post on how to transform the back of an explorer into a bed, or even just bedliner that back? I may create a how-to on how to give the ex a metal truck bed, yet still have folding seats.

P.P.S. How about what to do when you snap off, or ruin the threads on the stupid front shock absorber stud mounts? Hint: I cut them off, drilled them out, and bolted those suckers on!
