Does the starter turn over?

Is there a ton of pressure in your gas tank (open the fill cap and see next time it's hot)

If there ispressure it could be the canister purge valve has gone bad. Pressure inthe tank will not allow the fuel return system to dump the overflow back into the tank, thus backing up the entire fuel system and basically you get no fuel from the injectors.

When was thelast time you replaced the fuel filter?

If the starter cranks, and you cant hear the fuel pump come on I would start there. Bypass the relay and make sure the pump is hooked up (no loose wires) and working. If the pump is coming on the next step is to check for spark at the #1 plug wire. If you have spark then check the fuel pressure at the fual rail....

Thanks for the advice...

Fuel filter is< 2 years old...I'll replace
The canister answer is a new thought....Where's the valve and how could I cck it?

Do a search for "Canister purge" and you will find it....
they are about $18, but there is no need to replace it if you dont have pressure in your tank after a long drive and the truck is hot.

93 with the Same Problem

My '93 has the same problem. Every once in a while, after sitting ovenight or all day at work, it will just crank. If I go under the hood to the power distribition box, play with the EEC and Fuel Pump Relays, it will start. I usually need to remove and replace the EEC relay several times while listening for the fuel pump to kick on. The EEC and Fuel pump relays are a couple of weeks old and came from Ford. What else would prevent the EEC realy from supplying power to the Fuel Pump Relay?
